The UNITED NETWORK SPACE COMMAND is a unified Armed Forces responsible for the security of all space being used by vessels operating under the flags of our member affilites with a primary emphasis to protecting access to various non-Terrestrial assets throughout the system and beyond.
UNSC operations are coordinated through four tier commands. SPACE OPERATIONS; FLEET OPERATIONS; BASE OPERATIONS and GROUND OPERATIONS.
SPACE OPS: Manages and operates the Squadrons of small craft, couriers, transports, rescue and fighter craft and their related crews. Space Ops personnel are staffed to other divisions when those responsibilities best suit such specialized training.
FLEET OPS: Manages and operates the Large Action Vessels throughout the Fleet including SuperCarriers, Carriers, Destroyers and Cruisers as well as the Astral craft used for Space to Surface transit operations. Fleet Ops personnel are staffed to other divisions when those responsibilities best suit such specialized training.
BASE OPS: Manages and operates the various Platforms and Stations used by Space Command personnel for rest, resupply and staging. Base Ops has the added responsibility of ensuring secure communications exist throughout all known and expected Theatres/Areas of Responsibility. These include the Military districts of shared facilities and colonies throughout the System and eventually beyond. Base Ops personnel are staffed to other divisions when those responsibilities best suit such specialized training.
GROUND OPS: Manages and operates the various Mobile Artillerary, Surface Combat and Astral resources needed to ensure the security and preservation of stability throughout the UNSA sphere of influence.
