Returning home to the realization that MacMANUS was the by-product of an alteration to the past, that he should never have been born and that the future without him is both surprising and in many ways more secure. Here there is an ALISON, the young and arrogant Captain of the Air Group and intensely loyal to the memory of her timeline's Bill MAGELLAN, a brilliant Starship Commander who recently died in a conflict with the Chrysianteers.
