MacMANUS has a particular way of doing things and doesn’t appreciate KATYA’s attempts to help when she disrupts those methods but that’s a minor problem. MacMANUS realizes that the intellectual exercise that CHEROK put him on pitting part of the ALLIANCE Fleet up against the whole MEGANITE Empire might actually be a working plan. Now the trick is how to stop the most powerful Admiral in history from committing an act of genocide using a plan MacMANUS created. The only answer MacMANUS can think of involves getting off INDEPENDENCE and heading for help something that CHEROK oddly enough is only too willing to allow.
