Electro-magnetic or other electronic interference deliberately used to overpower enemy active detection systems.   Also, the term currently being used by engineers testing electro-plate shielding systems which would output higher energies across space vessel hulls than incoming energy weapons with the idea of disrupting and dissapaiting said energies before damage could be registered.
