SYNOPSIS:

Part one in the story of MacMANUS' half-way point mission at LUYTEN 145-41 (JAUNDOVAN), a world not yet in direct contact with the MEGANITE Empire. MacMANUS passes a MEG Invasion force five times larger then they faced at Earth on the way and beats them but his arrival is mistaken as a pre-Invasion tactic by a world in the grips of an internal Superpower struggle.
