TOP ROW: 1-Looking up at our Hotel from the breakfast patio; 2-ABC Store and Burger King with Surfboards for door handles; 3-Another ABC Store, 1 block down from the last one; 4-Travel disaster (what are these people thinking?); 5-Another Trolley, another ABC Store; 6-Apartment for sale, 1 bedroom, no bath - only 1 Million; 7-Oh, Look! Another ABC!
SECOND ROW: 1-Okay, truthfully, when you get right down it, I think I'm in Convenience Store heaven; 2-And another ABC Store!; 3-We've finally stopped at the last hotel and the tour begins along the northern Canal; 4-Who stops at a gargage for steak?; 5-Don Quijote, where real Hawaiian shop; 6-Pineapple Fire Trucks!; 7-Bank of Hawaii building
THIRD ROW: 1-odd shaped Catholic church; 2-Sub parked outside Maui Divers; 3-Predecessor to the ABC; 4-Since 1917!; 5-Book em Danno! At the HPD Building; 6-Father Damien statue in front of the State building; 7-State building
FOURTH ROW: 1-Don't know what it is, but there's something really funny about the name; 2-"And on your right, a 7-Eleven"; 3-This City worker waved back a second later, really!; 4-"And up ahead, another 7-Eleven!" Whoo hoo!; 5-Back at the Trolley depot, the shaking is because the Trolley is idling despite the sign; 6-Breathing in exhaust while waiting in the sweltering heat to depart on the blue line; 7-Baywatch Hawaii
FIFTH ROW: 1-First view of Diamond Head on this tour; 2-Inside the dormant volcano that is Diamond Head; 3-So dormant, there's a bus stop; 4-back outside the cone the view is spectacular, and they're real!; 5-For some reason every time the Trolley driver rings a bell the locals go loco!; 6-At this point I broke out into "Circle of Life"; 7-Trolley driver began stopping along the homes so we could take pictures of flowers.
SIXTH ROW: 1-If we stop for every flower the tour will end just before we have to fly back home; 2-So the Trolley driver asks, "Do any of you have a gate that matches your front door?" I snap back, "Does ugly count?"; 3-Jack Lord's head at an eastern Mall, guess he liked to shop here; 4-Jackie Chan's home on the top of the hillside; 5-Another canal, more beach access; 6-Another dormant volcano, but are they sure?; 7-PC has gone too far when they make a Handicapped Boat Washdown spot!
SEVENTH ROW: 1-7 Believe it or not, this is still part of suburban Honolulu and not the far wilds of an unpopulated Oahu. Image 3 is the next inhabited island, Molokai
EIGHTH ROW: 1-5 Pounding surf and rocky shores; 6-The beach from the original "From Here To Eternity"; 7-The concrete map on the lookout over the Eternity beach
NINTH ROW: 1-The ocean opening to the little inlet that eventually becomes the Eternity beach; 2-7 The look up coast toward Sandy Beach Park
TENTH ROW: 1-7 Into and around SANDY BEACH PARK
ELEVENTH ROW: 1-7 Sandy Beach Park and onward toward the Oceanic Institute.
TWELFTH ROW: 1-7 Oceanic Institute and the hillside that Parasailors are jumping from.
THIRTEENTH ROW: 1-7 Hang gliders and parachutists coming down to their landing zone.
FORTEENTH ROW: 1-5 Shots from the ride back; 5-A variation of a motorcycle rental; 6-Evergreen trees in paradise; 7-So the Trolley driver pulls up to this tree and gets two of the group to pick the flowers, she explains their beauty, their history, their scent, how to wear them in your hair, AND THEN she says "Be careful because the sap is very poisonous!", uh, shouldn't you have started with that one?
LAST ROW: 1-The view of Honolulu from the north track around Diamond Head as we descend back into Waikiki; 2-The north canal begins; 3-The tour ends when the bus turns left from the canal.
