MALCOLM XERXES
Genre stuntman/actor MALCOLM XERXES was conceived, born & educated in Salford, Manchester, England. Upon seeing & hearing SIR SEAN CONNERY & MS. ZOE CALDWELL in a TV production of MACBETH™, MX became aware that the majestic grandeur of MARVEL COMICS GROUP'S™ JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY™ was realised in the bombastic speeches & soliloquies of the 11th Century Scots pretenders. It was @ this time that MX declared his ambition to pursue a career as a professional actor.
With the active support & encouragement of his adoptive parents, MX read DC™ & MARVEL COMICS™ drawn & written by JACK "KING" KIRBY & "STYLIN'" STEVE DITKO. The influence of such topflight graphic storytelling alongside the works of WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE, as well as regular viewing of HAMMER HORROR™ films & TV series like DOCTOR WHO™, BATMAN™, DOOMWATCH™, SURVIVORS™, THE TWILIGHT ZONE™, THE OUTER LIMITS™, CALLAN™, PUBLIC EYE™ & Saturday matinees of various REPUBLIC PICTURES™ led to MX's predilection for Dystopian SF & Dark Fantasy. ROD SERLING, AYN RAND, ROBERT ANSON HEINLEIN, SPIDER ROBINSON, JOHN VARLEY, NEIL GAIMAN, HARLAN ELLISON, DOUGLAS ADAMS, SIR ARTHUR C. CLARKE, JOHN BRUNNER, GEORGE ORWELL, "SMILIN'" STAN "THE MAN" LEE & KEVIN SMITH are authors whose works provide continuing inspiration to MX.
A lifelong enthusiast of Comics, Science Fiction, Horror & Fantasy, MX has worked on several genre projects, not least of which has been RESIDENT EVIL: APOCALYPSE™ with MILLA JOVOVICH & JARED HARRIS, VERITAS: THE QUEST™ with ARNOLD VOSLOO & RYAN MERRIMAN, CYPHER™ with JEREMY NORTHAM, COMPANY MAN™ with LUCY LIU, HAUNTED™ with ASTRID YOUNG (under the direction of JULIAN GRANT), WITCHBLADE: THE SERIES™ with YANCY BUTLER, 4 seasons of LA FEMME NIKITA™ with PETA WILSON & EDWARD WOODWARD, RELIC HUNTER™ with TIA CARRERE & LOUIS MANDYLOR, & ANONYMOUS REX™, starring DANIEL BALDWIN & SAM TRAMMELL.
MX hopes to be cast as NORRIN RADD™ in THE SILVER SURFER™, & as KING XERXES of Persia in the WARNER BROTHERS™ screen adaptation of 300™, originally written & drawn by MR. FRANK MILLER, with watercolours by LYNN VARLEY.
MALCOLM XERXES spent four seasons as Section One Operative OWEN TELL on LA FEMME NIKITA™ (with PETA WILSON, ALBERTA WATSON & ROY DUPUIS), and has also appeared in various other plays, series & films, including: JOHN WOO'S ONCE A THIEF™ (with IVAN SERGEI, NICHOLAS LEA, SANDRINE HOLT & JENNIFER DALE), VERITAS: THE QUEST™ (with ARNOLD VOSLOO, ERIC BALFOUR & RYAN MERRIMAN), CYPHER™ (with JEREMY NORTHAM & LUCY LIU), HAUNTED™ (with ASTRID YOUNG & JULIAN GRANT), COMPANY MAN™ (with NIGEL BENNETT), WITCHBLADE: THE SERIES™ (with YANCY BUTLER); RELIC HUNTER™ (with TIA CARRERE & LOUIS MANDYLOR), OPERATION: GOLDEN PHOENIX™ (with JAMES HONG, KAREN SHEPERD, LOREN AVEDON & JALAL MERHI), WHEN THE BULLET HITS THE BONE™ (with JEFF WINCOTT, DOUGLAS O'KEEFFE & TORRI HIGGINSON), TITUS ANDRONICUS™, HAMLET™, ROMEO & JULIET™, THE TEMPEST™, & HENRY IV, Part 1™.
MALCOLM XERXES has played Kit Drums & Percussion with various bands, including MICHAELE JORDANA & THE POLES™, performing on her hit single, "CARVED IN STONE", which was featured as part of the centrepiece to MS. JORDANA'S acclaimed "CARVED IN STONE" photographic exhibit.
MX has also provided musical support & accompaniment for various Theatre companies, including YOUNG PEOPLE'S THEATRE™ (LORRAINE KIMSA THEATRE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE™), CAROUSEL PLAYERS™ & YES-OH-YES DRAMA OUTREACH™.
MX also composed, arranged & performed the soundtrack to THE WARRIOR MEDLEY, a Science Fiction film written & directed by MIKE McNALLY.
MALCOLM XERXES collaborated with ALLAN TONG of AI FILMS™ to script a Suspense Thriller titled SLEEPLESS™.
