LEAVING DEBT IS THE BEST REVENGE

In 2013, total Government debt stood at CAD$1.2 trillion across both federal and provincial levels. With the total GDP somewhere around CAD$1.8 trillion, Canada's overall debt/GDP ratio is around 66%.

But non-equity/non-mortgage personal debit held by Canadians voluntarily is more than $1.5 Trillion, $300 BILLION more than our governments, so I think I now understand why we voted out governments that pay off the debt for ones that spends like mad sailors on a weekend fulough to Vegas.

Forget "Living well is the best revenge," the best revenge is leaving a massive debt burden on your kids and Canadians must really hate their children to leave this much debt for them, both personally and as a civic burden. Wow.
