PARACODE
The TITAN PARACODE is a simple string of information used by the casting and production department to keep track of the physical and dramatic requirements for the Performer assuming the part.
The first three characters are the Production Code identifying the project.
For example:
SPO = Space Oddity
FSQ = Finnegan's Squad
SHD = Shuttledown
BDR = Bolder
The next two characters identify the roll.
For example:
PF = is Principal Female
SM = is Supporting Male
BM = is Background Male
GF= is Guest Female
Also there are codes when Gender isn't a consideration.
For example:
PP = is Principal Protagonist
PA = is Principal Antagonist
SA = is Supporting Antagonist
BG = is Background player
GP = is Guest Protagonist
When a "GUEST" is listed the code will have /, Number, and then Letter to indicate which Episode
For example:
GP/2C = Guest Protagonist, Second season, Episode 3
Then follows two digits that indicate script heirarchy.
For example:
PM02 = 2nd Principal Male
GF/4E03 = 3rd Guest Female, Fourth season, Episode 5
The next four digits are the age range.
For example:
2030 = performer must be able to play between the ages of 20 and 30 years old
The remainder of the code details the minimum physical requirements and performance demands on a scale of 0 to 9.
For example:
F = is Fitness The higher the number the better shape the performer must be aesthetically.
A = is Action The higher this number the more physically strenuous action that will be required.
D = is Drama The higher this number the more the roll requires a performer with range in the extremes of negative and dramatic intensity.
C = is Comedy The higher this number the better the performer's comedic timing must be.
S = is Sexual situations The higher this number the more sexual the roll. S5 involves some nudity while S9 refers to the sort of graphic situations one might find on late night HBO programming.
BECAUSE WE'VE BEEN ASKED: SE would be hardcore, while SX would be banned in most countries, but we're not in that business so you'll never see those codes here.
