08) New Dawn Sky

Out of the soil of night
pushes the seed of day.
The sky of ocean blue
retreats the other way.
You've got your window seat,
the view from up on high.
You've got a fresh idea.
You've got the new dawn sky
in your eye.

To this empty stage,
a single star has come,
between the curtain clouds
of it's proscenium,
and the supporting crows
let out their chorus cry.
You've got your sailing wind.
You've got the new dawn sky
in your eye.

a web of dewdrop tears for the sun to dry,
as a wheel of birds turns around in the sky,

and as the big balloon
lifts up the hopes of Spring,
and the waxing moon
recedes on feathered wings,
no matter just how tight
the tangled knot is tied,
you've got the blade of day.
You've got the new dawn sky
in your eye.
