18) Till Everyone Else Has Gone Home
(Featuring Richard Trevor-Williams on Supporting Vocals and Bruce Russell on Piano)

Well, now, things are quieting down.
It's been a long time since they served the last round.
The revellers all seem to have gone to the ground,
and I do believe we're alone...

so come, now. Sit by my side.
Before we can dream, we must take this last ride.
Let's open the box and see what's left inside.
Some treasures are not to be shown
'till everyone else has gone home.

Well, now. This is that place
I never left since we last shared a space
where we could let go of the pleasures we chase
and notice the ones that we own,

so come now, there's silence to keep,
and now is our chance to sow what we'll reap
those times when the future won't let us sleep
and we need what comfort we've grown
'till everyone else has gone home.

Wake up now, and be where you are
in this space between two falling stars.
If you drink enough in, then
you can always come by here again.

Well, now. I understand.
We've nothing but all of time on our hands.
The past's gone to bed, the future's just plans
and the present is only on loan...

so come, now, let go what is lost.
Feel for the edge and step softly across.
Tomorrow, there'll be time to count what things cost.
Some treasures can never be known
'till everyone else has gone home.
